fucking hell (fuck Putin)
Justice Potter Stewart of the Supreme Court of the United States, in attempting to explain "hard-core" pornography, or what is obscene, famously wrote,
"I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced ... [b]ut I know it when I see it ..."
I am a fan of erotic art and I wanted to create my own, something similar to what the ancient Greeks painted on their ceramics, or the Kama Sutra illustrations or the Japanese erotic art, Shunga.
Not pornography per se although the models in this work are based on gay 70's pornography - if you know your porn you will recognise the classic poses.
It's ultimately a tounge-n-cheek piece (!) I see past the rampant devil sex, I see the energetic interlocking poses, the complex composition, the layered depth of field created by varying point size of strokes - of which there are two types, one is a gradient stroke, the other a black stroke, they are pretty fiddly to do.
The colours and the composition were the hardest to achieve - it's a very complex piece filled with hidden detail, tattoos, naughty devils and a playful random eroticism.
Ultimately it's a celebration of unbridled lust and the joy of sex. A bad boys dream.
Just the piece for a leather wall in someone's dungeon, to set the tone for a very interesting evening.

boys at the gym
My gym is kinda homoerotic, maybe because half of the clients are gay... and maybe this is why I am such an avid member, but I digress... I love to work out and I love drawing humans, they are very challenging, so in my own style I decided to illustrate a session at the gym... I am interested in stylization and free flowing organic forms, the human muscular form is perfect for exploring ideas associated with these exciting concepts.
